Maple, rush

These nearly identical chairs feature elements typical of both the William & Mary and Queen Anne styles. The one on the left belonged to Miss Clarissa Caldwell (1876) who lived on Boston Street in Guilford. The one on the right belonged to Jonathan Fowler who lived in White Hollow in Northford (once part of Guilford).
