Tin-enamelled earthenware
Punch has been a popular drink since the 17th century. During the colonial period, it mainly consisted of rum mixed with a variety of other alcoholic beverages, fruit juices, and sometimes tea. This punch bowl was made in London, England. The design motifs (including the x-and-o pattern, fleur-de-lis, and cockerel) were inspired by designs on Chinese export porcelain.
