Oak, chestnut, tulip, chestnut, paint, brass
Closets were rare in colonial homes, so chests were used to store clothing, blankets, sheets, and other textiles (items made from cloth). This chest of drawers, made in New England, features moldings accentuated with red and black paint. The drawer heights are in an upside-down graduation.
