Early 19th century (c1827) square forte-piano, with mahogany rosewood, brass fittings and ivory keys. Piano is cosmetically OK but in need of full restoration. Piano is rectangular with off-center keyboard with 73 keys. It is set on two round pillars on a trestle base supported by large brass-tipped claw feet. Single pedal is surmounted on lyre. Printed gold-leaf label reads, "Improved patent / W. Geib / 3rd Avenue & 201 Broadway / New York"
