Red, wooden toy train steam engine, American, late 19th c. Has an iron chassis with functioning flywheel inertial drive mechanism. Wooden cow catcher on front. 4 large drive wheels and 4 small guide wheels at front (loose on axle). Painted red, gold and black. Very good condition.
13 1/8" long, 6 1/2" high and 5" wide. Donated by Estate of Charles W. Scranton 7/24/1963.
