Certificate - Post Master appointment signed by T. Roosevelt

Official formal certificate signed by President Theodore Roosevelt naming James R. Meigs as Postmaster of Madison. Also signed by Postmaster General Robert Wynne. Signatures appear genuine, and the embossed medallion Seal of the US Post Office, along with a red ribbon are attached to the document. Document has large scroll across top emblazoned "Theodore Roosevelt...." and includes an image of the American Eagle. Document has small tears along borders and one larger one at top. It is slightly browned with age but in otherwise excellent condition. 16" x 19 1/4"
