Clothing Embellishment
Embellished with a 3" band of cutwork, hand sewn bugle beads in a daisy pattern with three small pearls in center of each flower. A string of miniature pearls in center of daisy petal. Bugle beads are faceted and reflect the light. An oval band of pearls around the center three pearls of each daisy. On the reverse it can be seen that the edging was machine stitched to possibly 12-14 stitches per inch. It appears that the pattern was first drawn on the light weight canvas backing. Then machine stitching was applied according to the drawing. Then the cut-out was done. The beading was then hand applied to the cut-out backing. 17 bugle beads per petal and 10 small pearls down center of each petal times 10 petals. It appears that sections were beaded and then connected together by hand stitching. Magnificent!
