Alphabet and pictorial-type sampler worked in many colors of embroidery floss using cross-stitch. A white house with 2 large trees either side embroidered top center, and below are rows, alphabets, numbers, and the verse "God loves the child whose words are mild; Remember now thy creator in the day of thy youth", and the town name "Woodbury". Bottom is small embroidered basket of fruit with a strawberry vine motif branching out to either side.
