poskas (b. 1939) was born in Waterbury and now lives nearby in rural CT. Painting waterbury or the countryside he focuses on the effects of light in quiet soliture. A realist painter, he composes the elements of actual places in a careful balance of abstract forms. His views of waterbury often convey a strong sense of familiarity on a very personal level for area residents.
