Ash Stand
22 in. H , 11 in top diameter Diameter
From 1936-7 Chase catalog (page 59): No. 17031. This beautiful combination of ashstand and smokers' cabinet is dignified and serious enough for a man's office yet handsome enough for the most luxurious living room. The chromium and red combination is very decorative in game rooms, porches, and modern rooms. It has a roomy compartment for pipes, tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, and matches, which is easily accessible by sliding open the top which pivots around the ashtray. The special composition top is stainproof to insure a permanently neat and trim appearance. The base is heavily weighted to prevent tipping. The ash container runs the length of the corrugated tube and can easily be emptied by lifting up the ashtray and tube. A spring attached to the cover of the ash receiver keeps it tightly closed when not in use. This clever and useful smokers' stand was designed for us by Walter Von Nessen. Finishes: English bronze with top to match, combination black and satin nickel with black top, and chromium with red or black top. Overall height, 22 inches; top diameter, 14 inches. Price: $12.50 each.
