The Beers family settled in Fairfield in the middle 1600's. This manuscript collection deals with the few that remained in Fairfield. Descendants of this family moved to many other localities. For more detailed information consult the genealogy papers and attached genealogy concerning material in Box 1 Folder C & Oversize item B.
There are three boxes in this collection. In Box I, Folder A are estate and probate papers, legal and financial papers and maps. Folder B contains an account book with loose papers & folder C a photocopied account book. Folders D thru H contain genealogy papers as does Box II and Box III. The oversize items are a shipping book and weavers account book. For more details see the table of contents.
