Alexandra Darrow was a photographer who lived in Woodbury Connecticut in the mid-1900s. She and her father, Judson Darrow, ran a successful photography studio and specialized in photographing artist's work. Alexandra Darrow also taught art at Saint Margaret's School in Waterbury.
The Alexandra Darrow Collection is largely composed of black and white photographs of modern artist's work from circa 1950-circa 1970. Alexandra Darrow was a photographer who lived in Woodbury, CT. She and her father, Judson Darrow, operated a successful photography studio and specialized in photographing artwork. Darrow photographed well known local artists as well as extremely successful artists. The collection is largely composed of black and white photographs of Naum Gabo and his artwork and Clare Leighton and her artwork. In addition to the photographs there is a small amount of correspondence from and about Clare Leighton, as well as one small print by Leighton.
