Fairfield Museum
George Pratt (1903-1979) was born in Kansas City, Missouri, where, after graduating from Yale and Yale Law School in 1927, he practiced law. He later worked for the N.L.R.B. in Washington, D.C., the O.S.S. in London, and The Bureau of Reclamation. He joined the Kuljian Engineering Firm in 1954 and on his retirement moved to Southport, Connecticut, with his wife Elizabeth. He was active in local activities and from 1971-1975 was president of the Fairfield Historical Society.
Boxes I through VI contain mostly correspondence from Elizabeth Pratt nee Lambertson to her mother, Mrs. Joseph W. Roe of Southport, Connecticut, arranged by date. Box VII holds a collection previously donated by George Pratt. Box VIII contains a copy of George Pratt’s oral history given to University Schools of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1970. The oversize item is a box of local photos.
