The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce was formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 1920 to provide opportunities for young men between the ages of 18 and 41 to develop personal and leadership skills, and business development and management skills through community service. The Chamber expanded to accept women in 1984.

The Greater Bridgeport Junior Chamber of Commerce received its charter from the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1942. The GBJCC grew out of the former Metropolitan Club of Bridgeport, formed in 1937. It changed its name to the Fairfield Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1957.
This small collection contains materials from Arthur Decker's membership in the Fairfield Jaycees. It includes membership materials (1954-1971), a kit book from 1963-1964, and various certificates awarded to him. Arthur Decker was a charter member and elected President of the chapter in 1957.
