Three years later, Fairfield University received its state charter and the first class was enrolled in the fall of 1947.
The collection primarily consists of publications of Fairfield Prep and Fairfield University, namely 16 issues of the literary 'Bellarmine Quarterly' and yearbooks from both Prep ('The Hearthstone') and the University ('The Manor'). In addition, the donor included a photograph album documenting his years at Fairfield University, and a copy of his commencement program from 1956.
