David N. Van Hoosear

David Nash Van Hoosear was a member of the Van Hoosear family which moved to Wilton some time before 1819, starting with Dutch immigrant Rinear Van Hoosear. David Nash Van Hoosear owned a farm on Hurlbutt Street, and his son, David Hermon Van Hoosear, would become essentially Wilton's first historian.
