John Elton

John Moses Elton was the son of Waterbury manufacturer John P. Elton, who was the son of Dr. Samuel Elton; his mother was Olive Margaret Hall, daughter of Captain Moses Hall. His sister Lucy Elizabeth married C.N. Wayland. His brother James Samuel was president of the Waterbury Brass Company. His brother Charles Prince Elton died in childhood.

John M., Lucy and James S. were painted as a group by artist Alfred Hart.

John M. Elton died at age 16 or 18.
