Ron Sloan

Ron Sloan (b. ) has an M.A. from the State University of New York, Albany, and an M.F.A. from the University of Kentucky. He received a National Endowment for the Arts grant in 1987 and has exhibited throughout the Northeast. Sloan’s art is highly subjective and individualistic. The content of Sloan’s work is a mix of horrific anxiety ridden subjects. His colors and unusual combinations constitute a sort of personal symbolism. He began painting at the age of 32.
