Russel Wright

1904 – 1976
Russel Wright was a well-known industrial designer who created several designs for Chase Brass & Copper Co.'s Specialty Line.

Wright (1904-1976) was the youngest of the big name industrial designers of the art deco period and the first to have his name mentioned in advertisements for giftware items. Fortunately for Chase, Wright’ s endorsement of  “The American Way” – to unite designers, manufacturers and retailers in the production and promotion of American consumer goods…to establish a truly American design identity – included various freelance projects for the company. A total of 13 Chase designs have been attributed to Wright.
