THOMAS CHURCH, CONVENT AND RECTORY, FAIRFIELD, CONN." "St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, the first Catholic parish in Fairfield, was formed in 1852. The building featured on this 1935 postcard was built on the Post Road in 1894 and remodeled in 1956. The structure to the left was a convent for nuns who taught in the parish school. In the 1980s the convent was converted to Bishop Curtis Homes, apartments for senior citizens."
