Pieced top is composed of silk and velvet strips forming 36 10” squares into a “log cabin” pattern. Back of quilt is solid wine-colored fabric and forms edge for the pastels, in solids, prints, stripes and voided velvet. The dark-colored strips are placed in such a way to appear as nine diamonds, and the light-colored strips appear as four diamonds, with partial diamonds along the edge of the quilt.
