This quilt was probably made by one or both of the daughters of Zalmon B. and Esther (Dimon) Wakeman of Southport. The Wakeman sisters, Mary Fowler Wakeman (1830-1913) and Frances Wakeman (1835-1918),  were the founders of The Wakeman Memorial Boys and Girls Club in Southport.
