Bayonet
Gideon Norton (1759-1822) of North Guilford carried this bayonet with him when he marched to White Plains, New York, in 1776. He was 17 years old when he joined the Continental Army during the American Revolution. His Model 1774 bayonet shows signs of being repaired, probably sometime during the war.
