The Tarr's were the last residents of the Whitfield House before it became a state museum in 1900. They are pictured here in the summer of 1897, posed in front of the house. From left to right:
Ella L. Tarr (mother), Esther L. Tarr (Baker) in baby carriage (daughter), Ada and Kitty Kozine (family friends), Sadie and Charles Wooley (aunt and uncle), Viola (maid), Swipie (pet dog), Ida May Tarr (daughter), Charles S. Tarr (son), Marion L. Tarr (daughter), and Seymour W. Tarr (father).
