Hook, Pot

18th century (Date manufactured/created)
Wrought iron
Pothooks were used to suspend pots, skillets, and kettles over the fire. Several hooks could be linked, bringing the pots closer to the fire and raising the temperature for cooking. This hook features a ring on one end and was made in New England. It came from the Evarts house in the Nut Plains section of Guilford.
