Curatorial Description
Female and male rag doll made by the donor c. 1940.  They have wire supported limbs, gray hair.  Faces and limbs formed by molded, painted and shellacked fabric, in a technique similar to needle molded stockinet dolls.  Female wears a woven bonnet, a full length striped dress with blue dots and a white apron.  Male wears a blueish wool suit, satin vest, leather shoes and cardboard top hat. Male is 12 1/2" tall, female is 12 3/4" tall  Donated by Miss Esther Pinch
