Poster - Centennial Poster 1876
B&W poster published in 1876 by George Stinson & Co. of Portland Maine. This exceptionally ornate, decorative and highly original large black print poster is printed on heavy paper. This poster features a large central "Liberty" with a presidential portrait surround, historic American locations and the fairgrounds above, a 1776 Revolutionary War Battle scene and portraits of America's six most famous Revolutionary War generals below. A large American Heraldic Eagle with wings spread is near the bottom. All original, under glass, with fading and some minor wear. 33 3/4" x 25 1/4" in a wooden molded frame.
