Ink Drawing - AB House Fireplace

Rectangular ink drawing of a fireplace surrounded with trim in the form of panels. A sketch of the painting was done first and then ink lines were done over it as the pencil sketch still shows through for many of the lines. The fireplace has two or three logs in it held back by metal posts and a mirror and painting hang on opposite walls/sides of the fireplace. A chair is to the right of the fireplace below the mirror and a table with flowers below the painting to the left of the fireplace. The trim creates 5 panels directly above the fireplace and 3 to the right with one open as a cabinet for vases.
The sketch has finished edges in contrast to the watercolor done from the same sketch and it is framed with a white matte. The fireplace is from the Nathaniel Allis House (Allis-Bushnell House) in the living room where the Madison Historical Society currently has its headquarters. No date is indicated on the painting though it is signed FKB in the lower left of the scene. 15" x 20"
