Stone Pot
Stone
A hollowed-out stone likely used as a pot to mix paint in. Traces of what may be red ochre, a naturally-occurring earth pigment high in iron(III) oxide, can be seen along the interior. Red ochre was prominent in face/body paints worn by Native Americans and often applied to the recently deceased.
