Silhouette profile portrait of Capt. Daniel Hand (1732-1816) facing left. Appears to be a photograph of the actual image.  In stamped copper oval frame with traces of gilding, under glass. Brass oval has deeply embossed dragons.  Frame body is of a composite material riveted to cover and back.  OH 4 1/8"; OW 3 3/8"
