Memo summarizes land ownership changes of area given by King Charles II to Connecticut bounds of Narragansett Bay to the Pacific Ocean, Describes changes after Articles of Confederation, establishment of the Western Reserve, land given to owners of homes burned by the British, and selling remaining land to the federal government in 1795. Money placed in a permanent fund for schools.
