Soccer player Kristine Lilly grew up in Wilton on Smith Street and graduated from Wilton High School in 1989. She went on to win the NCAA National Championship every year she attended the University of North Carolina. She later joined the USA National Team, which she starred on for 23 years. While she was on the team, she helped the United States win Olympic Gold in 1996 and the World Cup in 1991 and 1999. Lilly was a 2015 National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee.
