Bust of Frederic March as Mark Twain. Neck up, ceramic portrait bust on an attached green ceramic stand. The stand has raised text on its front reading "FREDRIC MARCH MARK TWAIN". The bust has a purple shirt color and red bow tie. The head painted generally realistically with gray hair, mustache, and eyebrows on a caucasian toned face.In 1944, Warner Brothers released a biopic titled, The Adventures of Mark Twain starring Frederic March. This bust was sculpted and painted as a reference for the makeup department to use during filming. This helped ensure continuity when March had to undergo an extensive transformation when portraying Twain in his later years.
