Curatorial Description
Studio portrait of a man, General Ely Parker, Parker is wearing a suit and collared shirt. General Parker is sitting in a chair with what appears to be a blanket on an armrest. He has a beard and mustache. Handwritten in ink on verso at the top of the photo is, "Genl E.S. Parker / Donehogawa / 1888". Printed in gold ink at the bottom of the card mount is the photographer's studio and address, "[illegible]/ 37 Union Square., New York."
