Diploma for Florence Hopwood Gates Judd

Engraved and embossed High School diploma for Florence Elizabeth Hopwood (some marriages later she was known as Florence Gates Judd).  Diploma cites her proficiency in Latin and is from the Minneapolis High Schools.  It was signed by several officials, with an embossed gold stamp, on June 8, 1906.  Paper is dry and brittle with tape repairs and one hole.  Paper size: 17” x 22”. Engraving size: ~12” x 12”.
Florence was a socialite and financial wizard in the early 20th C, and was the first woman to hold a seat on the New York Stock Exchange.  She retired to Madison CT where she was a generous philanthropist.
