Mr. Whiting is wearing an upturned collar shirt, suit jacket, necktie, and a vest with a chain. The chain on the vest is possibly a watch chain. He has his hands on his lap and appears to be holding flowers in one hand. Mrs. Whiting is wearing a dress with buttons down the front and white patterned fabric around the neck and cuffs. She also has her hands in her lap.
