The Rape of Europa is a story from Greco-Roman mythology. Oval canvas with square center masonite insert. Charcoal and watercolor on rice paper mounted on canvas. Triple layered cardboard ovals on center insert. Oval pattern within rectilinear composition dominates; primarily grays of charcoal with smaller areas of brilliant rainbow colors. Signed with title and date in lower right area; signed on reverse.
