A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Carol Anthony began her career as a sculptor but later expanded into painting, illustration and craftwork. She was born in NYC, but grew up in Greenwich, CT. Her mother, a concert pianist, died when she was 12. Her father, Jack Murray Anthony, was a cartoonist for 'The New Yorker'. In the 1980s she and her sister created an exhibit based on letters from their father as a tribute. Carol has exhibited at numerous galleries and museums, and her work is in the collections of many museums including the Brooklyn Museum, Hirschorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (Smithsonian Inst.), and Wadsworth Atheneum. She has lived in Washington, CT and Santa Fe, NM.
