Note (from donor) attached to piece reads: "The numbers along the edge of this ashtray (which was also made with other bakelite colors) were used with various center pieces to play 'Roulette'." Sports proved a popular theme for Chase products, such as "Golfers Ash Tray" and "Tennis Ash Tray", but this version of Tennis Ash Tray is uncataloged. Is this piece possibly pre-1933 or a prototype that was never made?
