Bound on boards covered with tan cloth. "VOL 2" stamped in black ink front board and "Waterbury VOL 2" stamped in black ink spine. Blue adhesive label woth "Roland Insurance Agency, Inc 108 Bank Street, Waterbury, Conn.: pasted to brown paper lining front cover. Full title is vien on titled page: Insurance Maps of Waterbury Connecticut, Published by the Sanborn Map Company, Volume Two, 1922, 11 Broadway, New York, Copyright 1922 by the Sanborn Map Company". Title page followed by a 1950 street index. First map is the key map. Maps are hand-colored drawn t oscale of 50 ft = 1 inch. They depict selected blocks with shape, dimension, and construction material of every building in a block. Colors correspond to construction material: concrete/cement, iron, brick, frame. Additional codes are provided in key. Important buildings (churches, manufacturing, schools, etc) are id'd. Other info provided too. NOTE: Corrections have been made since 1922 and include additional territory formerly unmapped (now appearing on sheet 291). Corrections range from 1929-1955 with "corrections" and notices pasted and drawn onto pages
