Blue adhesive label the "Roland Insurance Agency, Inc. 108 Bank Street, Waterbury, Conn.: pasted to brown paper lining front cover. Full title given on title page "Insurance Maps of Waterbury, Connecticut, Published by the Sanborn Map Company, Volume One, 11 Broadway, New York, Copyright 1922 by the Sanborn Map Company". TItle page followed by a 1955 street index. First map is the key map. Maps hand-colored drawn to scale of 50 ft to 1 inch; depict selected blocks with shape, dimension, and construction material of every building in a block. Colors correspond to construction material: concrete/cement, iron, brick, frame. Additional codes provided in key. Important buildings (churches, manufacturing, schools, etc) are id'd.
