This photograph is also in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. There it is called "Stocking the Pantry, Home of the Elderly Little Sisters of the Poor, Good Mother, Louisville, Kentucky" and the original date is noted as February 17, 1959. Stern J. Bramson (1912-1989) was a commercial photographer who captured scenes in his home state of Kentucky during the mid-twentieth century. His work often captures quiet moments of humor or irony, such as this scene of nuns stocking Fehr's beer.
