Alejandro Lopez sat for an oral interview on July 8, 1981 by Jerry Lombardi and Janet Stackhouse. A PDF of partial transcript is available. Alejandro Lopez came to mainland United States in search of factory work in 1950. Moving first to Naugatuck, and later to Waterbury, he worked as a laborer in a foundry until 1953 when he started at Scovill Manufacturing. He discusses Puerto Rican Culture and their experiences in the local Waterbury community.
