Oral history interview with Nathan Witt

Nathan Witt (created by)
November 12 1980
Nathan Witt gave an oral history interview for the Brass Worker's History Project conducted by Jeremy Brecher. A partial transcript is available. Nathan Witt was the general legal counsel for the International Mine mill and smelter workers. He also served on the National Labor Relations Board 1935-1940. His early connection with and sympathy for the left branded him as a New Deal radical, but he strove for objectivity. He speaks about the split between Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) and American Federation of Labor (AF of L) union.

The audio is only the first half of the cassette tape due to the second half being poor audio quality.
