John Zampino gave an oral history interview with Jeremy Brecher on May 28, 1981 for the Brass Worker's History Project. A partial transcript is available. John Zampino came to Waterbury from Italy in 1921. He worked at Waterbury Clock Shop and then at Scovill's for 42 years as a buffer. He describes conditions in the buffing and plating rooms before and after they had a union.
