Coll. 003 Fold. 053 Doc. 003  Weepowaug
This document consists of an envelope containing an undated newspaper story clipped from an unnamed newspaper. The envelope is white with Mrs. Hall's handwritten (in black ink) inscription:
" 'Weepowaug' Clipping given me by Margery Brewster Porter". The newspaper clipping is yellowed and somewhat fragile, with several small holes/tears at the edges which do not impair legibility. The newsprint is small, and relates the history of the land on which a Fourth of July picnic has just been enjoyed by a "pleasant party of families" within sight of the granite grave monuments of original Mayflower passengers (Brewster family).
