Burton Albert gave an oral history interview for the Jewish History Project on January 12, 2001. Burton was born and raised in Waterbury and after college he took over the family scrap metal recycling business, Albert Brothers Inc. Burton speaks about his grandfather immigrating from Vilinius in Lithuania, living in the Overlook section of Waterbury, Beth El synagogue, B'Nai Israel synagogue, Jewish organizations in Waterbury, and general life in Waterbury.

In addition to the oral history interview, Burton allowed the Mattatuck Museum to take images of photographs and ephemera which are also included here.
