This medallion was created to commemorate the 1914 dedication of the new Masonic Temple, which is now the Mattatuck Museum building. The medallion was designed and cast by Alpheus E. Betts, a member of Harmony Lodge. The metal was made and rolled at the American Brass Company in Waterbury, which employed several members of the lodge. The Masonic Temple is visible on one side of the medallion, with Masonic symbols on the other.
