Mary Blank gave an oral history interview for the Jewish History Project on April 14, 2001. Mary was born in Somerville, MA in 1912 and was a nurse during WWII. She came to Waterbury after she had married Dr. Sam Blank. Dr. Blank accepted a job as a radiologist at Waterbury Hospital. Mary speaks about her conversion to Judaism, her extensive community involvement, and Jewish holidays.
