Oral history interview with Steve and Gloria Bogen

Gloria and Steve Bogen gave an oral history interview for the Jewish History Project on August 21, 2000. In it, Gloria speaks about her great grandparents immigrating to Waterbury from Russia, early jobs her family had - like peddlers- and she speaks at length about Temple Israel. She was a teacher, and for a time worked at the Beth David Academy, which was a Hebrew day school. Steve speaks about growing up near Warsaw, immigrating to Waterbury, and general life in Waterbury.
